Attention Janney 4th and 5th graders -

Join the Janney Band and have fun making music with your friends. We perform several times during the school year including the winter and spring concerts, and the Janney musical.

On Tuesday, September 4, 2012 group instruction will begin on the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and percussion. The Janney Band rehearses on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 7:45-8:25 a.m. We will firm up the schedule once we see who has registered.

We would love to have children who play other instruments to join as well, provided they take private lessons on their instruments.

The band registration fee is $400/school year which can be paid in a lump sum or in installments (In special cases, the fee may be waived by the principal.) Registration will begin immediately and extend through September 30. JANNEY BAND REGISTRATION 2012

If you are beginning, I would be happy to chat with you about your choice of instruments. Janney has a limited number of instruments available for rent on a first come first served basis. (Let me know if you’re interested in renting a school instrument.) Instruments can also be purchased or rented from local music stores including:
