4th-5th Grade Musical

Each winter, 4th and 5th graders are invited to audition for the 4th and 5th grade musical.  Any child auditioning for the musical can take part and there are also opportunities for students to be involved in building the set and in the stage crew.  There are also plenty of opportunities for parents to be involved in production, costumes, design and production of the program, stage design and building, and helping out with the week-to-week in rehearsals.

This year’s 4 & 5th grade musical will be The Little Mermaid!  Chosen for it’s great music and the number of speaking parts, the kids are sure to have a great time.  Karen Harris will be directing this year, and Ginny Curtin will serve as Musical Director.  All questions regarding the show should be sent to Karen at Karenh@gmail.com.

Auditions will be held after school, December 10-11, 2012 and call back auditions will be during lunch on Dec 12-13. To audition, students should prepare a song and will read from a scene provided the day of auditions.  Students should also bring to their audition the forms provided here (Little Mermaid Participation Form). A small number of stage crew will be needed. The Stage Crew Application Form should also be completed and returned to Karen Harris. Performances will be held at Deal Middle School March 15-16.
