DCPS policy requires that a School Improvement Team (SIT) be established to participate in the development of the education specification and schematic design for the school.

The Janney SIT is a working group made up of Janney staff, parents, the principal, and community representatives. This group followed the development of modernization and addition plans for the school.

A new SIT team will be established this year to consult on issues that have arisen post-construction and to disseminate relevant information to the community. The composition of this group has not been established yet but it will be established this fall.
